The State Board of Career Colleges and Schools (f/k/a State Board of Proprietary SchoolRegistration) monitors and regulates Ohio’s private post-secondary career colleges and schools to ensure compliance with minimum standards set by Ohio Revised Code Chapter 3332. During fiscal year 2011, the Board registered 311 schools and approved over 2,400 programs.
The Board consists of eight members: the Superintendent of Public Instruction or their designee, the Chancellor of the Board of Regents or their designee, and five members appointed by the Governor.
