I agree, perhaps a hybrid model would be best. Adaptive learning is helpful in certain subject areas, (i. e. math)  while in others a more hands on and interactive or large group discussions may be more impactful. I can see the value in Adaptive learning, however, proper social skills are necessary to succeed in the workforce. 

Aside from informing, the goal of education should be to prepare students for their careers. Inspiring students through class participation, using relatable material and allowing them to make the connection between theory and practice is important. Students already know that they are in school to "learn" so providing them with the tools that they will need outside of school is key.
