You need to develop a plan that keeps the student actively engaged and uses both forms of thinking. 

You have to figure out how to best relay the material to the students seeing as not everyone learns the same and you need to figure out how to keep your students engaged. 

Try to show students that you are human like them and try to create a productive learning environment so that the students feel more comfortable to learn. 

Failure to plan is planning to fail. Being prepared will show students that you know what you are talking about and will make them more apt to learn from you in the future. 

You have to be and act like a professional if you want your studants to take you seriously while you are trying to relate relative information to them and know that they come first.
