5-7 steps.......I will have to keep this in mind when providing instruction for certain procedures. Also keeping in mind to include all learning styles will prove to be a challenge.
The small things really matter, writing your name on the board, holding up the text in class, it really makes sense that these actions put the students at ease. It serves as a reminder on how we felt on our first day in class.
I think it's important to not only provide the students with the objectives of the course but also to understand their objectives as well, to be able to tailor the class to their learning styles and expectations.
I'm realizing that there are many ways to be successful, and how important it is to stay on top of current practice, how quickly things are changing in healthcare. The content really helps to keep things in perspective and provides reminders of how to lead by example.
