I learned that we should keep a file of "learning objects" which can be easily accessed.

I learned to manage students from the beginning of the course and frequently there out.

This must be an older course because it doesn't take into account that we use Zoom or other video conferencing software to deliver instruction. Therefore, the parts about a synchonous course taking part via "chat" is not accurate.

I understand how important it it to get to know each student personally. I will do so by having each student post a short biography at the beginning of the course.

I have learned that an online instructor should be very familiar with the LMS before he/she teaches the course material. In addition, students must have a LMS orientation BEFORE starting the online course. I have found both these items to be very true as we had to start online teaching in a hurry when the quarentine started.
