I think your comments are spot on. it is definitely a challenge to keep students inspired and motivated in the classroom every day. But it has everything to do with how motivated the instructor is. Poor preparation or lack of motivation is clearly evident to students and I do not see how some instructors do not correlate the two. I think we all have moments of stress and burnout but it's how we approach it and reinvent our class that makes you a truly active instrucotr. I believe all of the posts are very insightful. I think soft skills are the "hardest" to manage for any insructor. Not only in the classroom but in the office and personally. It is something I am aware of all the time. I believe that I have become better with my soft skills but is also the main priority of what i need to work on. i learned some new activities i can try in the classroom. i believe much of our job relies on motivating the students and keeping them interested in the material. I don't think any 1 instructor is above learning something new. I think we can always update, and reinvent the way we approach our classroom and our students.
