I need to slow down, and make sure I'm over prepared beforehand to help reduce anxiety and help me to stick to my plan and have back up plans for when things don't work the way I thought they would.

Let upset or angry students vent and then invite/include them in the solution

I need to include every student where they are and help them to engage in the assignment or conversation.  Make them take stockholdership of the lecture so that they get the most out of it.

I like the icebreakers to get them engaged. Also, assessing how well my planned strategies worked or did not work and how to improve what I'm doing. Anytime I can get them working in a team situation I try to do so, especially when I can pair more advanced students with less capable students.

I employ as much technology in the classroom as possible, but what I like most about this section is internships.  I teach a practicum class which is listed as un-paid, but many of my students are getting paid for their time. The time spent on the job through the practicum is priceless. All my students who have this class love the experience and seem to pick up so much more than I can give them in the classroom or even the lab environment.

Good planning helps not only the student along the way but also helps us as instructors to insure we are able to relay all the information we intended.

I have used and continue to use summative assessments throughout my classes, but I like the idea of beginning at the end as a way to stay focused and on task.

I like the idea of introducing new tools or equipment in lecture then following up with hands on implementation of what we just talked about. I will be aligning more horizontally to carry these skills over to the lab portion of each class.
