I have learned that my classroom management style is a guide. Not only do I set my expectations in the beginning and remind students throughout the term, but I also build a rapport with my students. Building a rapport lets students know that instructors are interested in their students individually.
People will always remember how people treat them. So, keeping a positive attitude at all times will make a major difference.
Students are more intrigued when they hear real-life experiences. It is important to be honest about your decisions and your reason for sticking with your goals.
Creating a vision with the student will encourage them and give them hope for what's to come in the future.
It is essential to learn each and every student as an individual, along with their learning skills. Not everyone will learn or grasp information the same way. So, instructors must remain versatile in their classroom.
