The Placement Department plays a vital role in the students success. An effective Placement Department should be student centered and the staff should be caring. Job placement should be built into the training experience and put together resume help, with interviewing strategies. 

This will motivate and prepare the students to graduate and reach their goals.

School involvement is a very important factor to the students retention. Bonding occurs formally and informally. Pairing the students together for "study buddies" and having special events or campus projects. This helps with the students fear and anxiety, then they can both share their experiences. 

Mentoring is a very important aspect to the students success. I plan to be approachable and bring my experience to the student. Also, being the student's "go-to" person whenever they are struggling and thinking of dropping out. An effective mentor is the key to the students development throughout the program.

I learned that the more information the student knows is very helpful and that the admissions process plays a vital role in their graduation. The student is already thinking of ways to get to their graduation date and they are going to whatever it takes. 

I will be prepared for the new student and make sure they understand the expectations.
