This is a great idea. I never like to put studnents on the spot but if it is done randomly like this then the studnets will pay attention and know that they may be the ones randomly called.
I fell like instructors need to prioritze what is imprortant concerning their day. A student that is always misbehaving can be very disruptive and concerning but may not be a priority problem of your day.
