Finding ways to help learners avoid the pitfalls is crucial.  Students who fall into this trap will begin to feel defeated or unsuccessful the risks student making the choice to fail a course.

Students might feel more driven to participate in online learning if given technology mediums that they are familiar with like social media.  Also by researching what technology tools are available teachers may be able to distinguish which tools work best for their subject matter

Being able to communicate clearly makes the learning environment lower stressed and more productive

It's not only important for me to manage my time but facilitate an enviroment where my students know how to manage their time too.

Developing lessons that encourage Collaboration instead of lessons that allow for divide and conquer is key to developing a sense of community within the online classroom

It is important to think about learners in two respects:  age and learning styles.  Helping students feel comfortable in the learning process will greatly increase their likelihood of success.

I have learned that I need to teach students how to communicate with each other well.  Guidelines need to be set and modeled to establish strong S2S communication.

It had not thought about using a system where the kids could interact with each other.
