Set the tempo

I try to add or adjust the tempo of lecture & lab to stay with in the skill & learning level of the class as a whole. For individual that can accell beyond set pace I will usually have a project of their interest or request fellow classmates.

Attendance

I sometime show students their attendance record plays a major part towards being hired for that first new job. I explain how an employer looks at the attendance record as a quiet statement of how reliable the student is.

Sometimes I find it very hardto convince a student to stay in school when there is no employment in the area to support him or their family.

Motivating students as well as myself can most challenging from time to time. However what I have learned to do is reflect on the positive of class growth kwonlegde wise & my growth as an instructor, and refocus from there to achieve the goals .

choices

One of the challenges I have encountered, is getting students to recognize adult education is not a continuation of high school whenit comes to mature level. And choices they made can impact them for a lifetime adversely.
