Activity
As instructors, we need to be intentional about creating tasks that increase student responsibility and ownership to their work. This can be done through problem-based learning, as well as opening avenues for feedback from students.
It is important to repeat teaching pattern over the course of the semester to ensure students know what to expect and do. I have learned that it is important to clearly communicate learning outcomes and to put materials in a centralised location so that students can access these documents easily. Students should also know what is expected of them in terms of communication methods, and submission deadlines.
It is important to consider and assess what your teaching styles are before you'd be able to properly match the different types of technological tool you'd like to use for your classroom.
