Connect with your team versus always correct them

Critical thinking often comes when a student understands the material . 

Rubrics make expectations and completion of the assignment very clear for students. 

Being able to transition and have a back up plan is important. To always be ready for error. 

Students engaged in their learning is active learning and allows the student to retain more information. 

Remind students why they started school, they will re-inspire themselves. 

Its important to teach how you learn...understanding is so important. 

Connect with students and they will begin to trust you and want to learn.

I have learned connecting rather than correcting a student goes a long way.

What have you learned? I have learned that the most educated person is not necessarily the best fit for a postion in my department. Diversity is key.

• How can you apply it? Become more open to diversity and create patterns or strategies that support my company's culture.

• What support do you need? The support I feel I would need would be to have the ability to pay valuable employees what they are worth in order to retain them.
