One of the mistakes that a lot of instructors makes is being upset when they make a mistake.  It is important for your students to see you as human, you will make mistakes. 

As a new teacher I have learned that I need to set clear expectations for my class at the very beginning.  I have also learned that I need to be consistent with every students and show favortism.  

As a first year teacher I have learned different strategies for dealing with different types of student groups within my classroom.

As a new teacher this first section gave me a lot of insight on how to manage setting up my syllabus and how to facilitate that information to my students on the first day.  Through I am new to teaching, I am not new to my subject matter.  I like the idea of using an icebreaker at the beginning of the class to help students get comfortable and learn to work as a team.
