Activity

First it is important to use questionnaires and discussion to get to know the backgrounds of your students. This allows the teacher to understand the diversity and multiculturalism of their students. Then probe goals and interests by focused discussion. Allows students to choose projects based on future goals and work in teams to create real world environments. This is the process of connecting background information with current education and then projecting that onto future goals.

There are two major challenges. The first is the maturity of the students to understand the importance of SEL and the second is the school setting. SEL usually comes behind academics, school events, etc., so it is the problem of prioritization in an already packed schedule.

SEL stands for social-emotional learning. To me is the ability to interact with others and learn from life's ups and downs. The ability to show empathy and understand your own and others emotions.
