adults are motivated due to past life experiences

Involve them, share experiences from the field, be knowledgeable about the subject at hand. keeping them interested will overall keep them interested in the particular trade they want to thrive in. as instructors its our job to influence, motivate, ensure understanding and be thorough enough that they understand, grasp and retain the knowledge learned. 

Its always rewarding keeping your students involved and interested in the topics at hand without getting to far off of subject. drawing them back in to the main topic is essential

I see and understand the points given in this presentation and agree. I keep it a hundred percent real with them and keep it professional. being able to relate and adapt to different students is definitely a big attribute I try to have. sharing knowledge and experiences in the field along with other classmates that have experience is a big tool to success in my book.

Within this area, I've learned to know your students as best you can, taking into consideration their background, if they have things going on at home, if things in the classroom and out of it are affecting their performance. It gives different ways to help us as instructors to be able to adapt per se. it generalizes it but getting to know the students, their goals, their wants within the course they are obtaining to perform within the trades. different learning and teaching methods can be used to get the course across and ensure the future tradesmen and women are… >>>
