Activity
Small bites (shorter, 10-15 lectures), practice ahead of time, and occasionally tape yourself to see how you're really presenting when you teach.
Show the class you are a human being. Spend some time getting to know each student while you are going over expectations.
Show up early and be prepared. Students will know when an instructor is poorly prepared.
Do not be a know it all. Someone is always smarter than you. Go into the classroom each day with an air of excitement and motivation and that may help to set the tone for your students.
