Which one? I use a photo box with bow on top and something inside is related to what we will do that day. One student opens it and they try to guess. Funny how they light up over a colorful box in the front of the room and get excited. I would love to hear your ideas. I love to try new things.

Getting Students to Complete the assigned homework

I make a homework sheet with check off boxes for my initials and sign as they complete each assignment in the chapters assigned for the whole 20 days of their course.

The due date is the 18th day of the module and that is when the sheet is due. I ask each student to show me their homework as they finish an assignment. This is a lot of work, but I get 99 percent participation, there is always the one student that refusing to do homework. So I have added homework questions to the exams with no… >>>

Retention is Everybody's Job

I also agree that retention is everyone's job; I am so happy that this course was mandatory for all instructors in our organization. Too bad it isn't required for all employees. This course was a great help on doing the difference.

Great ideas for MT

All the games are great ideas for teaching Medical Term. I like all the ball games. Sounded like fun.
