The ED 101 was a great help towards a few things related to teaching in cosmetology, but i would like to hear from a few other instructors in the same feild what they believe helps them keep students happy and interested during class? I would say I try to keep it more hands on, i believe repitition and applying the technique they see helps them learn better.

What to do with problem student's

There seems to always be a student that thinks she can do whatever she wants, and has no respect for authority no matter what approach you take. She's been written up and suspended numerous times and that doesnt seem to deter her. Mind you, she is young. What would be some techniques to motivate her?
