Multiple evaluations allow for a variety of honest feedback and then growth to occur.  This will help with learning and insight on what went right versus what coould be changed!

Feedback is crucial to student growth and rubrics can help guide this process immensely!!  Rubrics provide for consistency and growth by making sure things are emphasized the same from an objective point of view.  Self-assessments allow for relfection that will also improve student growth.

Buildfing on prior knowledge is always important! The thing that stood out the most is students should learn more from their usage of technology then just the mere having ihe technology.  This should be an active and dynamic piece and one that students take ownership of!!

The molst important thing I have learned thus far is how important it is to be consistent in uploading templates and organizing the modules. Being thrown into the remote world like I was this past semester I will organize things a little bit more for my students so that it is simplier for them and will make the learning environment easier for them to learn in.

For the learning environment to be successful for the student there must be clear communication with a way to track these conversations, way to address the different e-learners in effective yet sensitivite manner, and above all a way to deal with the procrastination, attitudes, or conflict that might arise.  These are similar to a face to face situation but I think could be heighten or worse depending on the student and situation.  Great tips for handling these were given!!

The different types of discussion between asynchronous and synchronous was interesting to me.  It makes sense with what I am seeing now with my students but to be honest had never thought of it in this way!!

This module discusses the importance of establishing order and authority in the linline expereince to make the learning enrironment the best it can be.  However, I like how this module stresses bulding the relationship with students by sharing about yourself to make things real with th students.

In going through this module several things stood out.  The role of the instructor in an online forum is just as important and will require a lot of work to ensure student buy in and ultimately there success!!  Engaging students is only half of what the online instructor will need to do.  Understanding the system and not just the content is criticl to ensure each student has the chance to be academically successful!
