Activity

Maximize the use of technology as it relates to student learning and impacts assessments.

Objectives can serve as guide points to enable student learning.

Provide students a why on the subjects they are learning.

Great refresher on how to get students involved and ways to find new material.

An understanding of the various test instruments to use in the classroom.

As an instructor it is important to gain an understanding of your students’ background knowledge.

The various techniques of asking a question shapes a student’s learning.

I discovered that classroom instruction will be effective if designed with multiple learning styles. I thought it was amazing that a student’s performance could increase 10-15% on an exam if they covered the material in their dominant learning style.

Key focus was how to push students to learn through content, challenging their assumptions, and learning about themselves. It provided a framework on how to develop course design and lecture presentation.

My key takeaways were how to make the students comfortable and create and environment for learning and expression of ideas.
