 I agree with this statement. I have never taught online but I imagine the effort to connect with the student is greater than in a traditional setting. The examples listed in this module provide great options to projecting yourself, but it also requires a greater effort from the students.

Thase are great examples that indirectly communicates with the unresponsive student. Utilizing the advisor can increase your chances to reach the student.  

The students will act and react to the tone of the instructor. When we have full classes, it becomes easy to use the fact that it is " a large class" when explaining shortages of equipment, etc. What typically happen is that they will use that as an excuse for every short coming during the term. We should focus on the size of a class and the challenge that they may face without using the size of the class as an excuse.

In a lecture type environment for a 3 hour Nutrition class, what would be the best activity to begin the class ? How can I break up the class using videos,group activity, discussions, etc. to keep the keep the class fresh and interesting ?
