About me

A brief background... I'm a wife, mother, student, manager, and instructor...yes, I wear many hats…also a mother of four children and love hiking, swimming, and reading. In the day time, I work for Kaiser Permanente as the Data Quality Manager. I've worked with Kaiser for 12 years helping the physicians learn how to document and code for services provided to patients. I'm a 1998 graduate from ACC as well. I’ve worked in the medical billing and coding field for 17 years and also have a master in health administration and a master in management.

Stress about Special needs Students

Hi,

I had a student with special needs and would offer tutoring on the online nights so she would not feel that she was taking all of my attention away from other students. The student also passed the course with this support.

Quiet students

Hi,

I have tons of students like this in the beginning

I'll interact with them and teach them interpersonal skills to help them come out of their comfort zones.

For example, relating stories of how I overcame being shy and sharing tools and techniques with them.
