Students are already using ChatGPT; it's important to ensure that students understand how it can be used properly and what would be considered improper use for each class/subject/assignment.

ChatGPT should be used cautiously. I think it could be easy for teachers and students to overuse ChatGPT, and, in my opinion, it is very important to instill critical thinking skills, which could potentially be lost with the overuse of ChatGPT.

Using ChatGPT in the classroom has a lot of real learning potential. I think it is important to educate students on its limitations, but I can also see how it is important to educate them on how to properly leverage ChatGPT as a resource.

I learned a bit more about the emergence of AI and the different branches of AI. I had heard the terms "machine learning" and "OpenAI" before and had a general idea of what these were, but it was nice to learn a little more about the specifics and fill in some knowledge gaps.

procrastination is easier to engage in when the coursework is self-directed, so it is important to be in constant communication with students who appear to procrastinate/ not participate.

It is important to compensate for the absence of nonverbals in online discussions.

I like the idea of adding a bio and asking students to do the same in order to preject presence and create a sense of community.

Some students do not like to ask technical questions in an online learning class out of fear of seeming "dumb." It is important to make sure students know how to navigate the CMS.

Varying delivery of content is essential to reach all types of learners.

Learning student names as well as any nicknames or alternate names that they prefer is important in making them feel confortable in the classroom.
