I have been teaching in a Medical Assisting program for the last 5 years. When I began there was no training in how to be an effective teacher. So, I fell back on my own experience as a student to inform my lesson planning. What I learned from this class is that I am not too far off the mark. What is the challenge for me, is finding the time to put in the time for the planning the course recommends, and my own standards.
