The regulatory agency information, specifically regarding the allowable percent change of a program, was eye-opening.

Data analysis is key.

Our lack of a time limit on program completion can hinder tracking drop-outs.  We also don't have the best data on retention rates.  These are pieces of information that would be valuable to have.

The feasibility study needs to be comprehensive and based on real data and research.  Determining the needs of the area industry/businesses is critical, along with the characteristics of your community.

My role is with curriculum and compliance.  I haven't done the marketing side.  Now I am very interested to know what percent we spend on marketing.

As an online program, much of this was not applicable, though it did make me wonder if we need to have a library.

Our company does not conduct exit interviews.  The program is self-paced and all online, so it is easy for people to silently drop out.  We need to change this in order to better serve our students.  In addition, we do not have a graduation. Our students finish at different times, but we could do something once a semester that would recognize accomplishments.

I work for an educator preparation company that provides a route to alternative certification for classroom teachers. As such, our students do not qualify for federal funds/grants.  The section on alternative forms of funding makes me want to investigate this avenue more for our students.
