Learning about the syllabus structure was helpful. Also, learning about strategies to  prevent students isolation when taking online classes was useful. Frequent reflections and self-assessment opportunities are key. 

I learned that the value of a course enhances when students are provided with opportunities to make application of the course content in real world settings. 

I learned that instructors have to make sure the LMS can support each learning activity when designing a course. 

I found very interesting the data provided by the NCES on 2018-2019. According to them, 21 %. of public schools including the charters, offer at least one course entirely online. Also, only 6% of all public schools offer all their courses either onsite or online. 

I learned it is important to be consistent with your content layout so students find their material easily. 

I learned the instructor in role of facilitator has a crucial task which is providing informative feedback to students. 

I learned the differences between synchronous and asynchronous online teaching methods. Although asynchronous seems more convenient, it is crucial to determine which method is appropriate to use based on your and the students needs. 

I learned as an instructor it is important to get familiarized with all technology tools available and assess their specific functions. Analyzing them individually and assessing the function of the tool along with the outcome of the activity is the most effective method for using correctly. 

From this module I learned the highest ranked method to communicate with online instructors is by email.  

I learned about the difference between synchronous and asynchronous discussions. Synchronous occurs in real time and they are also known as chat sessions. They should not be use to teach critical content unless you are dealing with one student at a time. In contrast, asynchronous don't happen at the same moment.
