Similar to HIPAA, FERPA protects the educational privacy of students.

Treat each individual student with respect regardless of race, ethnicity and gender.

Be enthusiastic about the subject matter while demonstrating hat we are there to share our knowledge and help them achieve their educational goals. Communicating to the students that we are not experts but are further along in the learning process than they are. 

Breaking up lecture with mini challenges or games can help keep their focus and engagement while also helping them learn the material. 

Get to know your students. Engage them and show your enthusiasm for the topic. 

Students must learn to balance work, studying and life in order to succeed. Students that are coddled in the education system will struggle in the 'real' world as professional institutions will not be as lenient. Providing a supportive yet professional learning environment will model behavior that is expected in the professional setting. 

i like the idea of utilizing varying media formats to deliver content. This aids in facilitating learning by taking into consideration different learning styles 

a well written objective helps students understand what/how/when they will learn in the class.
