Everyone learns different, I need to be prepared for the differences by sharing different experiences and reflecting on them to my students to make the point I am trying to make
I am not a fan of true and false, beind dyslexic myself. Those questions I would have to read and re-read to make sure I was getting what was being asked, it would eat up my time on a timed exam. Essay is also not as far, some students vocabulary is not as large.
Knowing the right way to ask a question will engage the student. Having a variety of questions that will get you the same answer will help with reaching all the students
Keeping the students engaged is the best way to insure attendance from start to finish. Clear objectives helps with learning and having a reason to be on time and end of the lecture motivators is always a good idea.
Most students with learning disabilities just need a little more time. Something as simple as turning on a recorder can make all the difference
Approach learning from different perpectives, without instructional supports many learners are not going to be successful. Instructional supports are simple to provide and are of great help to such students
I learned that the ideal group is 6-8, I understand that i bring the students together to let them learn from each other own experiences and imput
Floating engages the students, making eye contact help them understand that they are a part of the team, pausing in between questions gives the students time to jump in and be involved in the group discussion.
