The online instructor has many roles to play, facilitator, technological monitor, social manager cultivating a positive community, and ensuring proper communication is fluid among all faculty and students.

When providing instructions and feedback communication should be clear and precise to avoid miscommunication and complete understanding of feedback.

Communication and organization are  key components when teaching students.

One of the strategies I used in the classroom is using case studies that allows students use their critical thinking allowing them to solve the problem solving.  This motivates them to be creative, collaborating with other team members and coming to a decision that will resolve the problem presented.

My  biggest take away about FERPA is ensuring  the privacy of my students and keep confidentiality of their records, and most of all abiding their guidelines and recommendations to avoid any violations.
