My school was very careful to not overstate where I'd be when I had finished school--I was under no illusions as to the level of education I'd have when I was done! Knowing that I was graduating at "entry" level was an encouragement to get into continuing education as soon as I could.

As a supervisor and staff member at my school, this course was informative.  School funding is not something I've thought about from the standpoint of a non-student.  It was a bit overwhelming, but I now feel I have a better handle on understanding things I need to say/do whenever I have the opportunity to speak with prospective students (which I get to do rather frequently...).  I'm glad that I took the course!

I think that the most important thing any college or university can do is to be totally up-front with any prospective student that is considering enrollment in that particular school. Oftentimes students can be lured in by guarantees of job placement after graduation, promises of a job that pays a large salary, or even incentives to enroll in that school. Many times that student may be left 'high and dry' as they move through the program and find out that it's not going to be everything that was promised.
