Activity

We currently use music in class to represent their future workplace but I am going to review the type of music that we use.

 

I have learned that I need to possibly set up ways for the students to let me know if they are having difficulty without them interrupting the class.  I like the note card idea.

 

I have always given the guidelines for safety in my lab but did not think about making sure that I had documentation other than my syllabus for the proof of their knowledge.  I may add a safety quiz to my courses.

 

I reviewed the knowledge I currently have on setting up assessments in my classroom.  I try to follow the steps provided by Bloom for a student to show how they are developing in a class.

 

It is important for a student and instructor to know their learning styles.  I try to implement labs that will rotate to different learning styles or offer additional learning material that might be visual or auditory for students who might learn better using this method.

 

I learned that while traditional most students have exposure to the cognitive learning process the lab sections especially should also take into consideration the affective and psychomotor learning methods.  A student is working for an end goal of being able to function in their future workplace.  However, without clear objectives, they may not understand why they are learning certain steps that will help them function in the future.  I am going to review my labs and attach clear objectives.
