Collaborative assignments are a great way to build classroom culture and promote student engagement. Oftentimes, students are more comfortable working with peers in shared activities and gain much from each other.

Active learning makes the class more enjoyable for both the instructor and the students. In theory, it should keep everyone engaged and promote student-centered learning. 

I think the information on having a backup plan for technological issues was a key thing that we should consider.

The thing that stands out to me in active learning is the importance of a student-centered approach. I love the idea of guiding students and making the course more focused on positive communication.
