Scaffolding can help students learn in an online course.

I plan to be consistent in the presentation of my modules to not confuse the learner.

Communication is key to helping learners focus on the learning through identifying problems and offering solutions.

Asynchronous discussion is more important in online learning. Instructors who are engaged and contributing can encourage learners to do the same for a better experience.

The student introduction questions are similar to ones I use in Face to Face classroom. The module did not cover how these might need to be tweaked in online instruction.

Learners will likely be more engaged when they have perceived support for both content and technical issues. As an instructor, I can test out the CMS to see how it works on various devices, post instructions on expectations and helps, check back with learners frequently, and make sure our main methods of communication are working.
