Activity

This lesson was helpful in prompting me to reflect and analyze my teaching style.  I am now able to recognize that I am a Buddy Instructor, and in order to improve or become more of a Guide I must incorporate higher expectations of academic achievement through becoming more productive myself in planning, administering more effective controls and discipline particularly with school policy, and finding the right balance.

I have learned that preparing for class the day before, by organizing the materials I will be presenting has been very helpful to the flow or momentum of the class.

I learned simply to listen first rather than get defensive when a confrontation with an angry student occurs.

I learned that simply moving close to were chatty students are a talking can bring their focus back onto the lecture.

I learned the value of presenting the syllabus to a class as a means of breaking the ice.  Additionally, so that the students clearly understand the learning objectives and expectations concerning deadlines.
