The faculty should evaluate the intern's journal and reflections can help with changes to curriculum to improve the internship experience. 

The supervisor should advise students before they start the internship about their responsibilities. They should also visit interns at the internship site. 

Students should sign a contract that includes their responsibilities. It's important for students to keep a journal of their learning experience and reflections. Students should be evaluated at the end of the internship and provided with feedback.

It's important that students get to work on real assignments that are related to their interests. An internship should be between 10-12 weeks long at least to give students an opportunity to immerse in their internship experience.

Internships add great value to the student's career development path. It'll set them apart from the competition. They can explore different careers by completing internships.

As an instructor, I have to learn the different roles I need to play in the classroom. Being professional at all times is crucial. Motivate students by showing them I love the subject matter and I love teaching them.
