How does your facility track placement rates 6-24 months post-grad? Do you use a matrix? If so would you mind sharing some tips?

We often have events that allow our alumni to come back and participate these events include graduation, career/health fairs, speaking to current classes regarding their experience and current employment. The alumni are always eager to offer tips regarding the job market and course work

Does anyone have any ideas of how to track alumni?

I have found that having fund raisers, and career/health fairs. Our alumni also come back and speak to our current classes regarding the class, their job search, employment, and they also provide tips to the students in the aforementioned areas. Do you track your alumni?

I am a Director for Adult Programs at NewBridge Cleveland Center of Arts and Technology. Our company fashions its programs from the market back. We utilize the members of our advisory board to ensure our curriculum is up to date with current standards, and our students are marketable. To stay ahead of the game we will tweak our programs periodically to meet the market need this has helped us to obtain an 86% placement rate overall based on the State of Ohio calculations.

I have a question for you: what do you teach and are you apparelled as a buddy or the instructor. Our presence is often dictated by our appearance. Additionally, are you mild mannered, or assertive. Taking a few courses in assertive communication might help.

 

I have found that it is alright to be friendly but you can not become a friend to students . Drawing a line  may be a challenge, but rememebering as you befriend a student they learn your character and sometimes this will work against you. Being matter of fact and "by the book" initally… >>>

Informatin on Higher Ed practices in instruction

I am the Director of Adult Programs for a allied health training in the Greater Cleveland area. I hold a Masters degree in Project Management and a Bachelors in Medical Laboratory Medicine. I have classroom, clinical and management experience. My management style is to encourage my staff to have onus in projects. Does anyone have any informattion to share regarding this management style? Additionally, we track our graduates on excel;does anyone have a method or any insight on tracking graduates 6-24 months post graduation? If you have a matrix you would like to share I am open to suggestions.
