Respect is key to classroom management. The old adage says it best. To get it , one has to ive it. Traeat sytudents as you would want to be treated and you cannot go wrong. I remember as a student being validated. It felt great! I felt important. I was empowered. Caring to know a students name; a bit about their background and hobbies and likes and views. Greeting them with a smile and positive attitude. Simple things....read Dale Carnegie....he had the right ideas about creating rapport.
