I have tried them on small time frames in the flipped classroom.  I think for the subject I teach it would be a challenge sometimes.  

I need to create a "better work late or not completed by a date" policy. Fairness and openness need to be there, but I need to make sure that everyone understands the process.

Assessments - quick ones that help determine the disconnect.  Change the path when students begin to become disengaged with the topic.

Utilize different media to change things up  The use of other things other than Powerpoint. If using PPT, put less info on the slides and space things out for a better visual point.

Being prepared and organized for the students will set the stage for the students to become successful in the class. Using different types of handouts to bring their attention to different parts of the class was an interesting idea.
