It is important that you stay within your role and to refer the student to the appropriate people to discuss their accommodations. 

Accommodations are meant to fit the needs of the students so that they have equal opportunities. 

It was interesting to learn that the most common disabilities impacting college students are LD and ADHD. I also did not know that hard of hearing is a term preferred by the deaf and hard of hearing community verses using hearing impaired. 

I learned how accommodations are defined and the requirements that the university needs to uphold for students with disabilities.
