I am glad you finally found the technique that works best for your students. I think it takes everyone some time to figure it all out. I think students appreciate being able to contribute their ideas and help mold their assignments. If they have input they more than likely buy into the goal at hand.

I have been teaching for about 5 years and thought this was a great professional development class. I was impressed by all the different delivery methods that were used throughout the class. The class kept my attention and reminded me of different techniques I need to use to assist my student in their success throughout their education.

Motivation

I find that you keep students motivated by your example you set for class. If your inspired and are show that you enjoy what you teach, your students will become inspired. I think reaching them at their level and finding out what motivates them lets them know that you care. Taking the time to make sure the class understands and offering extra assistance also keeps the students motivated.
