I do believe that you do need to maintain a positive attitude for customer service, both to aid in your relationships with your coworkers and students as well as for your own sake, and advice such as journaling and giving yourself daily affirmations can be easily incorporated into schedules to help your attitude and energy levels. 

Managing your energy can not only help you succeed when first entering your workplace, and if maintained, can help continue that success. In order to manage your energy efficiently, it is important to be able to reflect on yourself and ask not only if what you are doing is working, but what you can do differently to maximize your energy and attitude management. 

As your energy impacts not only yourself but your students and colleagues, it is important for you to maintain your own energies. Not doing so can lead to imbalances in how you are able to manage your work, relationships between colleagues, and relationships with the students we are trying to assist. 

In this unit, I learned that my attitude not only impacts my own ability to work, but the relationships that I form with my coworkers- and potentially their attitude as well. To do our best work with our students, we do need to control our attitudes. This can be applied to our day to day work by monitoring how we respond to various situations and working to keep a positive attitude for the wellbeing of ourselves and our students.
