An instructor needs to be a prepared, if not more, than what is expected of our students.  Knowing the information well and planning ahead helps with first day jitters but also gives the instructor more confidence to be prepared and ready for the students.  Arriving early and greeting students makes for personable interactions.

It is very important as the instructor, to be professional in every aspect of the instructional atmosphere.  Being a nursing educator, I feel it is important to demonstrate to the students their need to be punctual, dressed professionally, and use proper language.  My modeling this will set the standards required of them in the professional workforce.
