I think that the word accomodation is scary to many instructors when it should not be. It's not that hard to accomodate a student when warranted. For example, if you have someone who has a learning disorder with reading. Part of your class you ask each student to read excerpts outloud from the book. Why not easily accomodate this student and let them know a week in advance what excerpt they will be called upon to read? This way, they can practice, not feel "stupid" when they read it out loud during class, and they can do the exercise just… >>>

I learned a lot through this course.  It was a great refresher on how to keep students motivated and how to provide feedback effectively.  It's nice to be reminded that we are all human and students need to feel appreciated at all times.

I liked this module, as it remided me that there are many different componets that blend together to create a succesful learner.

I hear impersonal problems everyday in class. It's good to see that the way I am handling them are correct. I listen, recommend a course of action and then refocus the student. So I'm glad to see I'm doing the right thing!
