Comment on Tikeama Buckingham's post

Yes, I usually go around the room and have them introduce themselves to the class.

Comment on Michael Pisarcik's post: Yes,  being prepared is very important. I agree. If not prepared it takes longer to get through material and makes the instructor look not ready or incompetent.

Modeling for the students is something I always talk about and do inside and out of the lab and classroom setting. Its important to practice what you Preach in a sense.

FERPA is important to protect students and staff.
Agree 100 percent!
What have you learned from this module and how do you intend to apply it? Learning names of the students quickly.

I have been teaching Dental Assisting for many years. There is not a set of instructors that teaches everything exactly the same. Just as there are not 2 dentists alike.

This course was very information to help understand what accreditation is how it is important for a College to have it. It also good to know in case a student has questions about it.

I have worked in Healthcare for many years. FERPA is similar to HIPAA in the dental office. You do not talk to others about a patients information the same as you would not talk to others about a students grades or information. If there is documentation that it is ok to disclose information, then it can be discussed to only that person with the proper documentation.

Yes, but we also do videos and lab/hands on training in conjuction.
