When anyone talks about learning styles, the first thing that comes to mind is the Kolb cycle and the four main learning styles. I always thought that learners have one main learning style, and I enjoyed learning about Bergquist and Phillips's proposal of the different learning styles. 

I agree with all of my colleagues here. It is not new to me the importance of starting with sharing the credentials and experience, but I loved how this lesson emphasized its importance and also for the learners to share their experiences too

Though I have been an instructor for many years, this module opened my eyes to a new point of view. Instructors are as crucial as technical support in the infrastructure system to provide an optimal learning experience. The learners will be more comfortable knowing they will be supported in both "educational and technical" challenges whenever they need.

value-added, alternative, and authentic assessment are all new to me and I am super excited to see how I can implement them in our curriculum. I also enjoyed learning about the course evaluation steps and I think they are very applicable even in on campus courses.

It clearly and beautifully described the concept and the differences between reliability and validity "which are both very important to concider when designing an assessment tool", objective and subjective assessments and norm- and Criterion-referenced assessments.

heard about the diagnostic assessment before, but really loved how it was clearly explained here. Unfortunately we don't use it often "not even in face to face classes. And as many of the colleagues have mentioned, we really focus more on summative assessment due to time constraints. I would love to know the students' perceptions once we apply the 3 types of assessment appropriately.

I have taken many online courses and participated in some, during the past 2 years. I really loved how this course is focusing on the importance of choosing the right tools rather than using them becasue they are just there! Also, it is important to keep in mind that as students differ in their learning styles, we need to choose different tools to make sure we are assessing the students correctly and appropriately.
