Career Ed Lounge is embedded in over eighty professional development portals serving the career and technical education community. Performance Groups in the Lounge are integrated with related learning opportunities offered on these portals. With a few exceptions, Performance Groups are also publicly available to any member of the Lounge to maximize peer-to-peer learning and performance outcomes.
I don't see a problem with having lunch with students (we have a lunch room and usually it is a student or workstudy that will run out to get lunch for everyone so sitting at the same table and chatting is fine); however, there are some teachers who give students their home phone or personal mobile number, allow students to drive their car, come to their home, etc. I see a big problem with that for many reasons. I would never "hang out with" my students.
