About me

Activity

Added breaks in between. or walk around outside is really needed.  Sometimes, just to break up the lecture---let students just "talk" to relax.

Instructors can be a great in keeping students here at our organization, but its when he or she leaves and goes home is another matter. For whatever reason --the family or friends hinders some of our students in returning or other issues are going on and have now escalated during the student class sessions. Which is sad, I have great students who can further his or her educational needs and are near the end--then all of a sudden he or she drops from the program. I can make calls to the student, but its up to that adults to change… >>>

I did work with a student who was deaf, and the school provided a Sign Language tutor. Since being a medical instructor, she wanted to be in medical--and there are physician's who deal with the deaf population. I think itwas awesome for this student to apply at our school and to see she has reached her goal. I have not heard from her in years now, and I hope she is still "shining" in her field of expertise.

As an instructor, student retention is essential for the organization and for the student as well. He or she came to the school with a "vision" of making a life himself or herself. But yet obstacles do happen in life for the student. I wish retention can be better most times, but as an isntructor we do play in this role in keeping our students.  We try to keep that "vision" they have--and keep it going no matter the circumstance. I think as instructors--we want the best for our students.

I do agree that exercising does free the mind up!  espeically being outdoors --and smelling the fresh air and hearing what sounds of outdoor life is like--is tranquil.. I tend to do lot of nature walks just to relax and unwind.  Having pets in the family does help.

I have to admit--ED 110 was interesting. Some of the ideas I am going to use, and some I already have been doing. But learning other options is always welcomed for the "mind". Dealing with stress and how to make it less stressful in one's life both work and personal related--these ideas can help!  I liked this course.

I found the curriculum very interesting and useful for my classes. and I do love more information being shared by other instructors.  This what I call Team-playing!

I too, could not agree with the statement above. I smile too much. I want them to show--Instructors are to leave problems at home!! I want to know also they I do love what I do and subject as boring it can be, will be exciting and yet needed for the future in health care. It is hard to present instructional material where students are already falling asleep or bored,  That is when I stop lecturing --if a nice day, we take a break a go for a walk around our building. Fresh air...helps, plus it clears the mind. 10… >>>

I am to impressed with this training program. It does provide a great deal of objectives and learning tools to be a better instructor for my class. I found a couple of exercises to work with my students from this program. So I have to admit, this programs are NEAT!!!

The challenge I had was to finish. Yes, I had interruptions as well. I too would like to finish a module in one sitting.

But otherwise the module I took, was very informative.
