I re-listened to this online course. This time taking notes. Now I want to go back and take notes on all the courses I have already passed and for all future courses I will take from Max Knowledge.

This course was extremely useful, possibly one of the best courses I have taken from Max Knowledge so far. Questions are a huge part of the classroom. This course taught me about the major categories or types of questions. Every time I ask a question in class I categorize the question in my mind, then analyze how the student answered the question. It turns out that what I learned form this module is right on. Asking questions in certain ways is very important for student success. As a teacher, knowing about the categories of questions is extremely important, so that… >>>

Preparing lesson plans is very important for classroom management. Without a clear lesson plan, it can be difficult to focus on classroom management. I have been taught that classroom management is the most important part of being a good classroom instructor. Why is the skill of preparing lesson plans not emphasized as the most important?
Monitoring student learning groups effectively is a skill every teacher must learn about. How to be a good monitor is a skill and needs to be developed as an instructor. Any suggestions for student learning group monitoring?

Giving these students the opportunity to succeed is important; however, missing a few lessons and lab exercises should be extremely detrimental to their grade. Not failing these students is very hard and I do my best to help them get through. What are strategies for allowing students to catch-up while at the same time move on with… >>>

As a new instructor I remember totally stressing out on developing my lesson plans. I have learned that classroom management is the most important part of teaching. Yet, after taking a couple of these online courses, I have learned that developing a lesson plan is extremely important to classroom management. No wonder I was stressing about my lesson plans. As instructors, we have a strong knowledge base and I often find myself wondering which direction to go and focus on. There are three basic steps to developing a lesson plan that I have found very helpful. 1st, pick a topic… >>>

Some students complete lab assignments way ahead of the rest of the class. Sometimes I assign these students additional work or extra credit to "broaden their horizons" and prepare for higher level courses during their course of study. These assignments are usually "higher skill level" and are not required for the current course. Can this potentially make other students "jeolous" for not having the opportunity to perform extra-credit assignments?
